RUSTON, La. (AP) _ Amanda Wilson scored 29 points and No. 5 Louisiana Tech set a school scoring record Monday night with a 130-55 win over Cleveland State in the opening round of the State Farm Holiday Classic.

Tech’s point total broke the previous mark of 126 against Texas-Pan American in 1989.

The victory sent the Techsters (9-2) into the championship game against Nicholls State, which beat Southern Mississippi 54-53.

Tech, seeking its 18th tournament title in 19 tries, led 59-37 at halftime and reached the 100-point mark with 9:03 left on a hook shot by Shaka Massey.

Massey finished with 19 points, and Betty Lennox added 17 for Tech.

Massey and Wilson helped Tech dominate the boards 66-22. Massey had 16 rebounds and Wilson grabbed 11.

Audra Cook led Cleveland State (5-5) with 18 points.
