Milford PD: Fired employee that refused to leave store charged
MILFORD — A man is accused of refusing to leave a store after he was fired and allegedly threatening another employee, police said Tuesday.
Dustin Redd, 29, of Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and first-degree criminal trespass.
Officers responded to Boscov’s at 1201 Boston Post Road for a report of an “unwanted person,” police said. The officers investigated and ended up arresting Redd.
Redd is accused of “refusing to leave the building after being fired from the store and (being) told he must leave,” police said, adding that Redd allegedly threatened another employee, telling him he would “get shot.”
Redd was released on a promise to appear. He’s expected in court on Oct. 23.
