Two charged in Friday Lake City shooting
LAKE CITY, S.C. -- Two people have been charged with attempted murder following the Aug. 3 shooting on Burch Street in Lake City.
Lake City Police responded to the shooting at 10:51 p.m. and arrived to find one victim who was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to a release issued by the Lake City Police Department.
Investigators identified two suspects -- a 14-year-old juvenile and a 20-year-old Lake City man.
The juvenile and Parrish Juan Chambers, 115 Brown Street, are each charged with one count of attempted murder, according to the release.
The juvenile was arrested Aug. 4 and Chambers Aug. 6 when he was located at a convenience store and transported to the Florence County Detention Center.
The juvenile had a hearing Tuesday while Chambers is awaiting a hearing before a circuit court judge.
