Pittsburgh Public Schools to release students early Wednesday over heat concerns
Pittsburgh Public Schools will again dismiss students two hours early on Wednesday because of forecasted high temperatures.
Middle- and high school athletics will continue at the discretion of head coaches. Schools will contact families if practices or games are canceled or rescheduled.
All other after school activities are canceled.
All district administration offices will remain open.
The district also dismissed students early on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service in Moon is forecasting hot and sunny days on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low 90s. On Thursday, the high temperature is predicted to be 88 degrees with a chance of storms after 3 p.m.
