Snap-On: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) _ Snap-On Inc. (SNA) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $180.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Kenosha, Wisconsin-based company said it had profit of $3.22.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.21 per share.
The tool and diagnostic equipment maker posted revenue of $951.3 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $958.4 million.
Snap-On shares have climbed nearly 6% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has increased 19%. The stock has decreased nearly 4% in the last 12 months.
