Woman Killed in Bar Bomb Attack Blamed on South Africa
LUSAKA, Zambia (AP) _ A bomb exploded in a bar and killed an employee in an attack the government blamed on South Africa, a paper quoted State Security Secretary Alex Shapi as saying investigators were treating the blast as part of a campaign of bombings and sabotage attacks by agents of the white-run government of South Africa. The attacks have occurred in black-governed nations that give sanctuary to South African exiles.
On Jan. 24, a Zambian night guard died and another was wounded when a mail bomb exploded at a hotel in Livingstone. In December, two people were killed and 13 others were injured in a car bombing outside another hotel in Livingstone.
