Voters get the star treatment from actor Sam Waterston
Two Waterbury women got the star treatment when they were driven to the polls on Tuesday.
Actor Sam Waterston of “Law and Order” fame and the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie” took the two Brass City residents to the polls.
Waterston, a Litchfield County resident and supporter of Jahana Hayes, who won the Fifth District congressional district race on Tuesday, posed with the women wearing a Hayes T-shirt.
Hayes shared a video of Waterston and the two women on her Twitter feed.
“Today was Shanice’s first time voting! And to her surprise Law & Order actor, @samwaterston , gave her a ride to her polling location,” she wrote.
Waterston also shared the video on Twitter.
That brought a comment from U.S. Sen Chris Murphy, who was re-elected Tuesday.
“No big deal. Just @samwaterston spending the whole day driving Waterbury voters to the polls for @JahanaHayesCT .”
