Toddler in critical condition after falling into river
HARTFORD, Vt. (AP) — Police say a toddler remains hospitalized in critical condition after falling into the White River in the Vermont town of Hartford over the weekend.
Hartford police received a 911 call about the incident under the Quechee-West Hartford Road bridge on Saturday.
When police arrived, people were performing CPR on the 1 ½-year-old girl.
Emergency crews continued life-saving efforts. She was taken to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say she remained in critical condition on Monday morning. The investigation is continuing.
