UNION CITY, Calif. (AP) — Northern California rescue workers were trying to free a man stuck in a two-story industrial cement mixing facility.

Alameda County Fire Department officials responded to a call at a pipe manufacturer Thursday afternoon in Union City, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of San Francisco. The department said a man was trapped in a large facility used to mix cement.

KTVU-TV reported that firefighters had attached a harness to the man to prevent him from slipping any further, and they were working to drain any remaining product.

No other information was released.
