Snow Postpones Pitt-Syracuse Game

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) _ Tonight’s Big East game between Pittsburgh and No. 19 Syracuse was postponed because of the storm that dumped more than a foot of snow on the area.

As much as 18 inches of snow fell on the Syracuse area, forcing officials to close Hancock International Airport today. Onondaga County declared a state of emergency, barring all but official vehicles from local roads.

The game has not been rescheduled yet. Syracuse’s next game is at home Sunday against Rutgers. Pittsburgh plays Miami on Saturday.
