Coughlan Named to New Job in North American Automotive Operations
DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) _ Ford Motor Co. on Monday named Basil J. Coughlan to a new position as vice president of North American Marketing Operations and Plans.
Coughlan, 52, will be responsible for planning and executing marketing programs and will report to Robert Rewey, vice president - North American Sales Operations.
Coughlan will be oversee Ford of Canada, North American Automotive Operations export sales and marketing, and will be marketing liaison with Ford Mexico. The responsibilities previously belonged to Rewey, who Ford spokesman Gene Koch said will be left to concentrate on the big picture.
Most recently, Coughlan was vice president in charge of sales for Ford of Europe. He has been a Ford vice president since 1988.
