Man charged with making false bomb threats against Cumberland County courthouse

A Fayetteville man was arrested Wednesday in connection with bomb threats made against three buildings in June.

Authorities said Justin Michael Oxendine, 33, called 911 on June 13 and reported that explosive devices had been placed at the Systel Building in the 200 block of Green Street, the Cumberland County Courthouse in the 100 block of Dick Street and the Cumberland County Library in the 300 block of Maiden Lane.

No threats were found following a search of all three buildings, authorities said.

Oxendine, of the 5200 block of Morrozoff Drive was charged with felony reporting a false bomb threat to a public building.

He was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under $40,000 secured bond.
