Walker has meeting scheduled with Cameron in London
MADISON, Wisconsin (AP) — Wisconsin governor and potential presidential candidate Scott Walker is scheduled to have a private meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Downing Street confirmed the meeting would take place on Tuesday. Walker is leading a coalition of Wisconsin government and business officials on a trade mission that runs until Friday.
The trip gives Walker a chance to bolster his overseas and foreign policy credentials as he considers running for president in 2016. He is scheduled to give a public speech Wednesday about the global economy at the prestigious Chatham House think tank.
This visit to London is Walker’s third overseas trade-related trip since he became governor in 2011. He’s also been to China and Japan.
