Littleton Students Collect Hats, Mittens

December 30, 2018

Students at Shaker Lane Elementary School in Littleton came together to donate hundreds of hats and mittens for those in need this winter. For a month, the Shaker Lane community collected 240 winter hats and 237 pairs of mittens and gloves for the families served by House of Hope, a nonprofit agency in Lowell focused on helping homeless families find shelter and ultimately gain stable housing. The hat and mitten drive was Shaker Lane’s latest Compassion Project, which they conduct a variety of times throughout each year to support a number of community organizations and causes.
