HAZING INVESTIGATION-NORTH DAKOTA
COLFAX, N.D. — Residents of a southeastern North Dakota school district where alleged hazing at the high school led to charges against five boys have recalled three school board members, including the Richland 44 district board president. Authorities in mid-February referred five boys to juvenile court following alleged misconduct in the boys’ locker room at the Colfax school of 160 students. The school’s superintendent resigned, the principal retired and the athletic director also departed. SENT: 130 words. UPCOMING: 250 words.
DICKINSON, N.D. — The owner of a small crude oil refinery in western North Dakota is proposing to convert the facility to process vegetable oil instead of petroleum to produce renewable diesel. The plant would be a first-of-its-kind facility for North Dakota. The state is taking public comments. UPCOMING: 300 words.
