Registration for free group swim lessons begins Saturday
Registration opens at 9 a.m. Saturday for free swimming lessons being offered this summer at all 24 of the city of San Antonio’s outdoor pools.
The program, known as “Let’s Swim SA,” drew more than 2,000 participants last year. It is open to both children and adults.
Three group sessions will be offered this summer, each taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays for two weeks. The first session will be June 25 through July 4. The other sessions will be July 9 through July 18 and July 23 through Aug. 1.
To register online, visit saparksandrec.com or go to the San Antonio Natatorium at 1430 W. Cesar Chavez Blvd. People can also enroll by visiting the Southside Lions, Garza, Lady Bird Johnson or Normoyle community centers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Staff will be there to provide help.
Various beginning and intermediate groups lessons will be offered for children and adults. Morning and evening classes are available.
This is the fifth year the city’s parks and recreation department has offered the program. For more information, visit saparksandrec.com or call 210-207-3299.
