WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Clinton's 1999 budget is heftier in weight and pages than the 1998 version and the cost is up.

For $155.50, $7.75 more than last year _ consumers can purchase the president's five-volume budget proposal, including a supplement, appendix, analytical perspectives, historical tables and citizen's guide.

For bargain hunters who are computer literate, the budget on CD-ROM costs just $14, down $2 from last year.

A look at the five documents released today:

Size _ Four books at 8 1/4 inches by 11 inches. The citizen's guide is 6 inches by 9 inches.

Pages _ 2,514, up by 90 pages.

Weight _ 11 pounds 3 ounces, up from 10 pounds 13 ounces last year.
