New Aggie assistant football coach needed

January 5, 2019

Jalil Brown’s stint as Utah State’s cornerbacks coach didn’t last long.

Less than two days after USU announced Brown would join Gary Andersen’s staff, he was named Boise State’s cornerbacks coach. Brown spent the 2017 season at BSU as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before getting hired as the cornerbacks coach at Northern Arizona and spending the 2018 campaign in Flagstaff, Arizona.

“We are fired up to have Jalil back at Boise State,” BSU head coach Bryan Harsin said in a press release. “Here’s a guy that really, really wants to be a Bronco and is a perfect fit for our culture and how we do things.”

Brown was an all-Big 12 Conference cornerback at Colorado and played five-plus seasons in the NFL. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
