2 outcomes changed in New Hampshire recounts
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Recounts have wrapped up at the New Hampshire Statehouse, with outcomes changed in two races.
The secretary of state’s office recounted ballots for 20 races after the Nov. 6 election — 19 House seats and one state Senate seat. The outcome changed in two races.
In Hillsborough County’s District 5, which serves Mont Vernon and New Boston, initial results showed Republican Gerald Griffin beating Democrat Donna Mombourquette by 22 votes. But in the recount, she won by eight votes.
In Belknap County, a recount gave the win to Republican Richard Beaudoin in the district representing Laconia. The initial tally showed Democrat Gail Ober winning, but the recount put Beaudoin ahead by two votes.
