Age: 27

Born in: Everett

Lives in: Alger

Job: Garden center employee at the Skagit Valley Food Co-op

What I like most about living in Skagit County: “The mix of mountains and water.”

Something I got away with as a kid that I probably shouldn’t have: “Sticking stink bombs in the neighbor’s mailboxes. They’d make a mess and turn the mail purple. I liked the purple ones.”

Greatest adventure I’ve ever been on: “Growing up.”

Favorite memory from childhood: “Chilling in the backyard. I liked going around eating flowers. I’d eat dandelions and plantains in the neighbors’ yards.”

Something in my life I’m most proud of: “I’m stoked to be buying the property (in Alger). I’m going to start a permaculture farm there.”

If I could be any animal, I would be a: “Sea turtle because they’re slow-moving and peaceful. They appreciate the time.”

Piece of advice I would tell my 13-year-old self: “Practice patience. Don’t take anything personal.”

What I hope the world will be like in 20 years: “I think we’re hopefully trending toward compassion. Everyone has different views and they all need to be respected. Everyone is your neighbor, not just the ones who live right next to you.”
