Local school receives funds from DOJ
St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Watertown was awarded $17,450 Thursday as part of the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s School Safety Grant program.
A total of 60 schools and school districts received almost $2.6 million Thursday. This completes the first round of the DOJ School Safety Grant program. Over $48 million remains available for a second round of school safety grant funding and applications are due Aug. 30.
The School Safety Initiative Grant is given to schools in the state to support projects designed to improve kindergarten through grade 12 school safety.
