OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Patrick Chan won his seventh consecutive Canadian figure skating title Saturday.

Three-time world champion, the favorite heading into the Sochi Olympics next month, scored 277.42 points ahead of Kevin Reynolds with 242.45 points, and Liam Firus third at 238.13.

Earlier, Kaetlyn Osmond sucessfully defended her women’s title with 208.23 points, and Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford won the pairs with a meet-record 213.62 points.

Coming off ankle and hamstring injuries, the 18-year-old Osmond did six triple jumps in her long program chronicling Cleopatra’s rise to power. Fifteen-year-old Gabrielle Daleman passed Amelie Lacoste in the long program to finish second with 182.47.
