PRAYERS: My special soon-to-be 103-year-old special Christian friend — Arlene Melton — is recuperating from a recent fall suffering multiple injuries. Since I was blessed with this sweetheart, my life has been filled with inspiration, joy, love and double blessings. Prayers and thoughts are with this little lady for a speedy recovery and that she will be ‘back in the saddle’ soon to attend services at Seventh Avenue Baptist Church, which she so much enjoys.

TRIP: The fifth annual travels to Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus for my mother’s aortic valve replacement and pacemaker insertion follow-up in early March went well, except for being 10 degrees and below 0 in wind chill. This 87-year-old special jewel was given a good report. The Ross Heart Center hasn’t missed a beat with her excellent care, and we are made to feel like part of the family.

Their answer was simple: “We have been arguing over the answer to that question 17 years. As soon as we agree, we’ll answer the question!”
