Duquesne 40, Gannon 8

PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Dave Loya threw three touchdown passes Saturday to lead Duquesne to a 40-8 victory over Gannon.

The Dukes now have the longest ongoing streak in NCAA Division I-AA, 12 games.

Loya connected on touchdown passes of 22 and 34 yards to Joe Rosato and 40 yards to Mark Neely. In all, he completed eight of 19 passes for 141 yards.

Andre Hatcher also scored for Duquesne (3-0) on a 5-yard run in the first quarter, and Bill Sepich, who also made six tackles, intercepted for a touchdown in the third.

Hatcher led the Dukes with 86 yards on 19 carries. The Golden Knights’ top rusher was Sterling Pierce, who carried 12 times for 48 yards.

Gannon (0-4) scored 2 points on a defensive conversion in the second quarter by Pat Rodkey, who made six tackles, and on a 5-yard run by Jay Smith in the fourth.
