‘Captain America’ Star Chris Evans Filming New Project in Lowell Next Week
LOWELL -- Don’t worry. This is not an “Avengers: Endgame” spoiler. But it does involve Captain America.
Chris Evans, known for his role as Captain America, will be in Lowell filming a new project early next week, according to city Parking Director Tobias Marx.
Paramount Television is scheduled to film its new mini-series starring Evans, “Defending Jacob,” on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 in the George Ayotte Garage at 11 Post Office Square across the street from Lowell High School.
Parking in the garage will be restricted over the weekend and continue through Tuesday at 9 a.m. Overflow parking is available at Tsongas Lot B and Father Morrissette Boulevard. Both the Joseph Downes and Leo Roy garages will have overflow spaces as well.
“We understand this is an inconvenience to everyone, but we hope you share our excitement to have ‘Captain America,’ Chris Evans in the city for two days,” Marx wrote.
“Defending Jacob” is an eight-episode crime drama based on a novel by William Landay. It’s being produced by Paramount Pictures for Apple TV.
