Man ID’d in morning shooting
The man involved in an early morning pursuit and shooting has been identified by the Allen County coroner’s office after an autopsy.
Shaquille I. Kelly, 26, of Fort Wayne, was involved in a short pursuit just before crashing his car into an apparent vacant home in the 3600 block of Oliver Street about 2 a.m., Fort Wayne police have said.
Kelly was found inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, a statement from the coroner’s office said.
Kelly’s cause of death was determined to be from gunshot wounds, the statement said, and his death is the eighth homicide of the year in Allen County.
The shooting remains under investigation.
