Feds charge 19 in Camden drug case

Federal officials on Wednesday charged 19 people with participating in a drug trafficking organization that dealt in crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl on several blocks east of Camden’s central waterfront district.

U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said the group had operated a for two years, first in the 1900 block of Filmore Street and later in the 400-500 blocks of Pine Street. He identified Ronnie Lopez, 40, of Pennsauken, as one of the alleged leaders of the organization.
