New Milford looks to fill vacancies
New Milford Mayor Pete Bass is looking to fill vacancies on several boards and commissions.
Regular or alternate positions are available on the Alarm Appeals Board, the Arts Commission, the Housing Partnership, the Inland Wetlands Commission, Lake Lillinonah Authority, the Library Board of Trustees, the Municipal Roads Committee and the Northville One-room Schoolhouse Committee.
Bass said Town Council has approved the nearly 150 appointments he’s made so far this year. He said he hopes to fill the remaining vacancies soon and encourages residents to visit the town website or stop in at Town Hall to learn more about the positions.
“As we end 2018, we hope to fill more vacancies and further enhance the road ahead with talent and energy from our diverse community,” he said in a press release. “If there’s a vacancy and you feel you can lend your time and effort, please step forward and inquire.”
