E.l.f. Beauty: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ E.l.f. Beauty Inc. (ELF) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $1.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Oakland, California-based company said it had profit of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 13 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The cosmetics company posted revenue of $59.1 million in the period, meeting Street forecasts.
E.l.f. Beauty expects full-year earnings in the range of 56 cents to 61 cents per share.
E.l.f. Beauty shares have decreased 33 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $14.88, a decline of 42 percent in the last 12 months.
