Hull signs Scotland keeper McGregor
HULL, England (AP) — Premier League newcomer Hull has made Scotland goalkeeper Allan McGregor its third signing of the offseason.
McGregor has joined on a three-year deal from Turkish team Besiktas, where he spent 12 months following a move from Scottish club Rangers. The fee was undisclosed.
The 31-year-old McGregor said Tuesday “this is a great chance for me to play in the Premier League and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”
Hull manager Steve Bruce appears to be focusing on strengthening his back line, with center half Curtis Davies and left back Maynor Figueroa having already moved to the KC Stadium this summer.
Hull is back in England’s top flight after three years in the second-tier League Championship, having secured promotion on the final day of last season.
