Joshua Lloyd Pope
Joshua Lloyd Pope was born on October 24, 1981 to Lloyd and Mary Pope in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the first son and second child of six. Josh lost his long battle with addiction on March 24, 2019. He is finally free of his earthly burdens. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Josh worked as an electrician and a carpenter, most recently with his dad. Josh loved working with his hands. He enjoyed building and flying airplanes and his drones and could be found tinkering with cars and motorcycles. Josh loved riding his motorcycle and competed once and took third place. He loved spending his free time with his beautiful daughter Olivia and his girlfriend Angela. Since a very young age he enjoyed hunting with his dad, brothers, uncles and grandfather. Josh had a big heart and liked to help others when he could.
He is survived by his daughter, Olivia; the love of his life Angela, his parents, Lloyd and Mary; sister, Tara; brothers, Devan (Brooke), Travis, and Kyle (Kylie); nephews and nieces: Cody, Chloe, Kaydance, Quincee and Luke; grandfather, Charles (Sue) Pope and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by sister, Cassie; grandmother, Reva Pope; and grandparents, OJ (Geneva) Cox.
Josh, we miss you already. Until we meet again, we love you, son, dad, brother, uncle and sweetheart.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Slate Canyon 8th Ward Chapel, 1625 South Slate Canyon Drive, Provo, Utah. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 28 at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
