Sexual assault charges filed
A man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a woman in January among other felony counts.
Robert Stipp, 39, of the 3400 block of Kirkwood Drive, was charged with burglary resulting in bodily injury, rape, domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and sexual battery with a misdemeanor invasion of privacy charge.
He was released from the Allen County Jail on $25,750 bond Wednesday.
The victim told police her attacker, whom she knew, pushed his way into a home around midnight Jan. 5 with two associates. He then pulled her out of a bed and “backhanded” her across the left side of her face, court documents said.
He then pushed her to the floor, kicked her in the head and face and punched her before performing sex acts on her, records said. The homeowner confirmed the assault, court records said.
Man, 43, charged with raping niece
A man was charged Wednesday with raping his niece in November.
The Journal Gazette is not naming the man to avoid identifying the victim. The newspaper does not name victims of sex offenses without their permission.
The woman told police she was with her uncle Nov. 4 before they went to a relative’s home for the night.
Both had been drinking, the victim said. She blacked out and woke up about 3:30 a.m. to find her 43-year-old uncle having sex with her, she told police.
She ran downstairs and told a relative, court records said. She went to the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center where a rape kit was collected and submitted to the Indiana State Police Laboratory, court records said.
The man was charged with two counts of rape, sexual battery and incest. He was released from the Allen County Jail on $32,500 bond.
