NEW YORK (AP) _ Lenny Kravitz is staying put at Virgin Records.

The label announced that the rocker has renewed his contract with Virgin, his home since his 1989 debut album, ``Let Love Rule.'' Representatives would not disclose terms of the deal.

``Virgin has been both my creative and musical home for the last twelve years, and I am happy to put down even stronger roots for the future,'' Kravitz said in a statement Monday.

The 37-year-old singer-guitarist is working on a new album scheduled to be released later this year. Kravitz has sold more than 25 million records worldwide, Virgin said, and won three Grammys.
