3Rivers robbed; suspect arrested

A 20-year-old Fort Wayne man was arrested Tuesday night on charges he robbed a north-side credit union hours earlier.

Tehran Neeley was booked into Allen County Jail on charges of robbery and resisting law enforcement.

City police said Neeley robbed the 3Rivers Federal Credit Union at 1130 E. State Blvd. about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. He passed a note then fled from the credit union’s front door with an undetermined amount of money, they said.

One customer was inside at the time. It was unclear in a police department news release whether Neeley displayed a weapon.

Witnesses gave police a detailed description of Neeley, who was seen near Bob Arnold Northside Park on East State Boulevard shortly after the robbery. He was arrested near the Northside Pool, police said.

Fort Wayne police, the FBI and Allen County prosecutor’s office are investigating.
