16 people hurt in multi-vehicle crash on Cleveland’s East Side

CLEVELAND, Ohio – 11 children and five adults were hurt Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on the city’s East Side, Cleveland EMS confirmed to cleveland.com.

The crash happened on St. Clair Avenue between East 186th Street and Melville Road. Three vehicles were involved.

Some of the injured individuals were unrestrained the flat bed of a truck, WKYC reports.

The children hurt in the crash were taken to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and MetroHealth, Cleveland EMS said.

All of the children were transported in stable condition.

The injured adults were transported to University Hospitals and MetroHealth, Cleveland EMS said. Two of those adults were in critical condition when they were taken by paramedics to the hospital.

Cleveland EMS could not provide ages on the people hurt in the crash.
