Texas talk show host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones called Sen. Marco Rubio a “frat boy” and a “little gangster thug” in a confrontation captured on video outside a hearing at Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
As the Florida Senator answered questions from reporters, Jones repeatedly interrupted, aggressively pressing him about “Democrats purging conservatives” from social media platforms.
Rubio said he did not know who Jones was, rolling his eyes and laughing as Jones continued to interject.

“Don’t touch me again, man,” Rubio said after Jones patted him on the shoulder. Rubio added that he would not call the police, but rather “take care of it myself.”
“Look at him, he’s so mad,” Jones said. “You’re not going to silence me. You’re not going to silence America. You’re literally like a little gangster thug.”
Rubio continued to speak with reporters briefly, with a steady stream of interruptions from Jones.
“You guys can talk to this clown,” the senator said as he walked off. Jones continued to yell insults as Rubio left.

The confrontation happened outside a Senate hearing during which Twitter and Facebook officials testified about their efforts to combat Russian interference in U.S. elections.
Jones, host of InfoWars, was suspended earlier this year from Twitter and Facebook, and his content has been removed from other social platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. He currently faces a defamation lawsuit for claiming that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax.
