Teen charged after man’s body found at construction site
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Authorities in North Carolina have charged a teenager in the death of a man whose body was found at a construction site.
Durham police said in a news release Tuesday 18-year-old Marquez Dashawn McMillan was arrested as police investigated a crash Monday in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant. The news release said officers discovered McMillan was driving the car of 63-year-old Edward Abdullah of Durham, the man he’s accused of killing.
Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said McMillian was also arrested on outstanding warrants in connection with a woman who was found with serious injuries on Oct. 29. The woman was hospitalized for treatment and is recovering.
McMillan is jailed without bond on a murder charge. Online records don’t indicate whether he has an attorney.
