Northern Virginia man charged with threat to bomb police car
FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — A northern Virginia man has been charged with threatening to blow up a police car.
Fairfax County Police announced Wednesday that 46-year-old Virgil Snyder of Woodbridge is facing a charge of threatening to bomb a means of transportation.
Police say they received a call shortly after 5 a.m. on Jan. 2 from a non-responsive caller. Police transferred the call to the 9-1-1 center. It was then that police say Snyder began to make statements about shooting and blowing up a police car with an officer inside.
Police arrested Snyder the next day in Fairfax.
He was arraigned and faces a preliminary hearing in March.
