BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Randy Livingston’s free throw with 18 seconds left Tuesday night gave LSU a 65-63 lead over Centenary, which had a chance to win but Anthony Stephens’ 3-point shot at the buzzer bounced out of the basket.

LSU extended the lead to 64-58 with 1:41 left when Ronnie Henderson made two free throws. Centenary (3-6) cut the lead to one on a 3-pointer by Cornell Hardman and a layup by Lincoln Abrams.

After a timeout, the Gents fouled Livingston, who made the second of two free throws.

Henderson led LSU with 20 points, but missed six of 12 foul shots. Nabors added 12 points, while center Misha Mutavdzic had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Livingston, who started his second consecutive game after recovering from off-season knee surgery, played 24 minutes and had six points and four assists.
