Chelmsford High Alumni Association Hall of Fame Announced
CHELMSFORD -- The Chelmsford High School Alumni Association has unveiled this year’s inductees into the Hall of Fame.
CHSAA Executive Director George Simonian said the 2019 class of inductees is marked by its diversity of accomplishments.
“From community service to athletics to finance to higher education, it’s a very diverse group that have done outstanding things,” Simonian said.
Among this year’s inductees:
n Gail Beaudoin, Class of 1979, a retired lieutenant who served her town on the Police Department and Chelmsford Housing Authority Board;
n Lauren Cochran, a music, theater and film-making teacher at Chelmsford High:
n Maura Duah-Asamoah, Class of 1988, a health education teacher at Chelmsford High and lauded varsity field hockey and lacrosse coach;
n William Gilet, Jr., Class of 1989, a PricewaterhouseCoopers partner specializing in management consulting who has served on a number of town committees;
n Patricia McCafferty, Class of 1976, vice chancellor of university relations at UMass Lowell;
n Peter McHugh, Class of 1964, class salutatorian and accomplished scholar, musician, athlete and businessman in the high-tech industry;
n Judy Metz, Class of 1973, an accomplished athlete and physical education teacher and administrator in the U.S. and Venezuela;
n Michael O’Keefe, Class of 1987, a star baseball player in high school and Assumption College who became a popular social studies teacher and baseball coach at Chelmsford High;
n Louise Tremblay, Class of 1962, a 30-year member of the Dracut Finance Committee (1986-2016) lauded by many organizations for her enduring commitment to her community.
Evelyn Thoren, who served on the Chelmsford School Committee for 18 years, is this year’s Lucy E. Simonian Golden Lion Award honoree.
