Lehigh 80, Harvard 70

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) _ Brett Eppehimer scored 23 points on 6-for-9 shooting to lead Lehigh to its first victory of the season, 80-70 over Harvard Saturday afternoon.

Eppehimer, who had averaged just 10 points a game, was 3-for-5 from 3-point range. Lehigh (1-5) shot 64 percent as a team from long range, and set season highs in field goal percentage (61), free throw percentage (70) and assists (15).

Kyle Snowden led Harvard (4-1) with 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals. The Crimson, which lost their first game of the season, shot 41 percent from the field and committed 18 turnovers.

Dan Handerhan added 15 points, Kirk Hodgson 11 points and six rebounds, and Ken Widmer had 10 for Lehigh. Michael Gilmore had 11 points and eight rebounds and Chris Grancio added 10 for Harvard.
