October 5, 2018

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Totten man hit by a car on state Highway 20 in Ramsey County has died of his injuries.

The Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Clarence Brown was struck about 3 miles south of Devils Lake shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday while walking along the highway. He was taken to a Grand Forks hospital and later died.

The patrol says the driver of the car couldn’t see Brown because it was dark out and Brown was wearing dark clothing. Whether charges are warranted is still being investigated.
