SEATTLE (AP) _ Jamie Redd scored 24 points and tied a school record with six 3-pointers Thursday night as No. 24 Washington defeated Montana State 77-59.

Redd scored 11 points and hit three of her 3-pointers during a 21-2 run late in the first half that put the Huskies comfortably ahead for good.

Amber Hall scored 19 points and Megan Franza 12 for Washington (4-0).

Natalie Smith scored 17 points, with Shanna Smith adding 13 and Tennyson Ballek 12 for Montana State (2-3), which has played all of its games on the road.

Washington’s defense forced 35 turnovers, 18 on steals. Ten Huskies recorded at least one steal.

The Huskies led 40-24 at halftime and led by at least 13 points for the entire second half.
