Tell Congress: Stop the blame
Ben Franklin was asked at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, “Do we have a Republic or Monarchy?” His response was, “A Republic, if we can keep it.”
When I see the immature behavior of our elected officials in Washington and their “my way or the highway” mentality, I am concerned whether we will be able to “keep it.”
I encourage everyone — Republicans and Democrats — to email their three representatives in Congress and tell them to stop the blaming and start fixing our country’s problems. Or, you will vote to send someone else to Congress in the next election.
(Important: The offices of those in Congress do tabulate the emails weekly to see what subjects are important to their constituents.)
