Two Cuyahoga County jail guards placed on restricted duty amid probe into use of force incident

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Two Cuyahoga County Jail guards have been placed on restricted duty after a use of force incident involving a female inmate.

Idris-Farid Clark, a corporal, and corrections officer Robert Marsh, were removed from having contact with inmates as the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department investigate the incident, which is a routine practice following all reported use-of-force incidents in the jail, county spokeswoman Mary Louise Madigan said.

Madigan declined to release more details about the incident, citing an ongoing investigation.

The incident comes about a month after another guard was suspended after she was accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior in the jail.
