American Superconductor: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot
AYER, Mass. (AP) _ American Superconductor Corp. (AMSC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $8.4 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Ayer, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 41 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and pretax expenses, were 23 cents per share.
The wind turbine component maker posted revenue of $14.6 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported net income of $26.8 million, or $1.29 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $56.2 million.
For the current quarter ending in July, American Superconductor expects its per-share loss to be 35 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $10 million to $13 million for the fiscal first quarter.
American Superconductor shares have decreased roughly 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $10.08, a climb of 45% in the last 12 months.
