Drug investigation results in arrest of transit worker
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — A transit terminal worker in Las Cruces is accused of selling cocaine while at work.
Police say an undercover investigation stemming from a report of suspicious activity at the Mesilla Valley Intermodal Transit Terminal resulted in the arrest Thursday of 29-year-old Ernesto Garcia-Quintana of Las Cruces.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, but police say the Las Cruces/Dona Ana County Metro Narcotics Agency’s investigation continues and that additional charges are possible.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Garcia-Quintana who could comment on the allegations.
