Teen shot in chest
STRATFORD — A teen was taken to Bridgeport Hospital after being shot Tuesday evening, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest around 7 p.m. by an unknown shooter in a car, Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti said.
“The victim was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment,” Eannotti said. “Unknown condition at this time.”
No suspects have been caught as of later Tuesday evening. Eannotti said the motive behind the shooting was unknown.
Area police are on the lookout of the car that the possible suspect, or suspects, fled the area in. Dispatch reports indicated the shooting happened near Sedgewick Avenue and Woodend Road in Stratford. At the corner of that intersection is Low Park.
No description of the suspect vehicle or any suspects were immediately provided.
