Crusaders take down Tenor/Veritas

Ben Veenstra hit five 3-pointers en route to scoring a game-high 25 points as the Maranatha Baptist Academy boys basketball team defeated visiting Milwaukee Tenor/Veritas 66-48 in an Indian Trails Conference game Friday.

Nathanael Price added nine points and Josh Licht finished with seven for Maranatha (7-12, 4-9 in conference).

The Crusaders led 34-19 at halftime and made seven 3-pointers.

Ben Price and Braeden Hansel each tallied six points for Maranatha.

James Cooper notched 17 points and Kodey Johnson chipped in 13 for Tenor/Veritas.

The Crusaders play at Coleman Faith Christian on Monday at 6 p.m. in a WACS State Tournament play-in game.
