BOYS BASKETBALL: Havasu hoops falls at Phoenix Arcadia, 67-53, in 4A playoffs

The Lake Havasu boys basketball team made a run at an upset, but fell short against No. 10 Phoenix Arcadia on Friday, ending their season in the play-in rounds of the 4A playoffs.

Arcadia, the Desert Sky regional champions, beat the Knights 67-53. No other information was available.

It was a rough night for the region’s other team’s too, with Kingman Lee Williams losing at home to Phoenix Moon Valley 55-46 and the Knights’ West Valley foe Goodyear Desert Edge losing on the road at Palo Verde Magnet 86-60.

West Valley champion Glendale Deer Valley is expected to earn one of the top top two seeds when the full bracket is announced, with Peoria also earning an automatic qualifier.

The 4A playoffs begin on Tuesday.
